"One year equals 365 new opportunities."

Opportunity #1

Nestled amongst the Elk Mountain Range, in an area widely known for its skiing, hides the new Aspen Art Museum. The new addition to the Aspen community was built to continue to share art from around the world, host immersive activities, and public programs. However, the museum itself was thoughtfully designed in a way one may call a piece of artwork itself.

The walkways are upcycled cardboard tubes left open to the light to cast shadows of time sensitive art throughout. The glass casing allows one to feel amongst the beautiful environment the building sits in. And all this leads to a sculptural rooftop with mountain views and a cafe for all your food and beverage delights.

The building continues to reveal sculptural pieces low and high in such materials that create calm, a sense of place and interest. This sculptural piece delights the ceiling in the cafe.

The inner exhibition rooms feature contemporary artist such as Mary Ramsden. One of many exhibitions which are icing on the cake to the building itself. A for sure add to your list of hidden gems to see in 2017.
