Team Spotlight - Jessica Mercado

Hi! I’m Jessica, one of the newest additions to the MAIKA family. I started working here in May 2022. I am the youngest among the 3 siblings. I love traveling and currently finishing my #PROJECT81 goal - to visit all the 81 provinces of the Philippines. When I’m not working or traveling, I am reading a good book or binge-watching a based-on-true-story documentary.

What do you do at MAIKA? I’m the Customer Service Support. I make sure to answer all customer inquiries about our products, and provide order details and tracking information. I also make sure that our customers feel cared for.

What is your favorite part of your job? Aside from being able to interact with different types of customers, I like the feeling of satisfaction I get when customers appreciate our products and thank me for helping them out.

It's Saturday afternoon. Where will we find you and what are you doing? With whom? Either soaking up at the beach or up in the mountains - with my best friends.

What is your superpower? CREATIVITY. I gather ideas and form an image or something new out of it.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be? ICELAND. Watching Aurora Borealis.

Words to live by? Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why? ELON MUSK. I’m very fascinated by his ideas about life outside Earth.

What is the one thing, you can’t live without? My PHONE. Because I love capturing every moment I spend with my family and friends.
