Who's counting down to Valentine's Day? My 2nd grader certainly is! Over the weekend, Maika has been hard at work making these DIY Lollipop Flower Valentines for her classmates. If you're still looking for ideas for classroom Valentines, here's one that's relatively easy to do, and a great way to spend an afternoon together.
Supplies
• Construction Paper
• Scissors
• PVA Adhesive Glue (Glue sticks work too)
• 1/4" hole punch
• Lollipops
• Washi tape (optional)
Cut out 4 hearts (each approx. 4 inches tall) from your construction paper.
Dab a dot of PVA glue on the bottom of each heart.
Glue each one on top of the other at 90 degrees angle. Voila! You have your flower! Let the glue dry while you continue to cut more petals.
Once the glue has dried, punch a hole in the middle of your flower.
Poke your lollipop through the hole.
Optional: tape the bottom of the flower with some pretty washi tape to hide the lollipop wrapping.
Have a bloomin' Valentine's Day! xoxo
