Meet Nacka: Playful, Rhythmic and Harmonious

Just a stone’s throw away from Stockholm's urban landscape lies the serene escape of Nacka. It's a place where the bustle of city life gracefully slows to the quiet cadence of island serenity. This is the liminal space that inspired our latest collection: Nacka.

Spending hours outdoors with a sketchbook meant plenty of time to observe the contours of the landscape and the rhythmic flow of its waters. Each day brought about a fresh perspective on sketching the flat shapes in nature, and eventually translating them into playful, abstract motifs.

The color palette borrows from Nacka's own – the vibrant reds of the waterfront buildings against the soft neutrals of the surrounding environment. These hues, pulled straight from nature's canvas, infuse our collection with a sense of delight. 

I tried to capture the simplicity and repetition of Nacka's scenery in the meditative quality of this pattern. Each fold, each line, mirrors the calm repetition of the waters and shapes in nature. It's a collection designed to invoke a sense of harmony, to carry the serenity of island life with you throughout, no matter how hectic a day becomes.
