I bought this bag as a gift for my niece and she LOVES it! Well made, so many useful features and a fun design. I'm getting one for me now!

I have several Maika bags, all high quality materials and craftsmanship. Fabric designs are beautiful. Functional designs are nice, well thought out but I dislike the dark liner fabric as it makes it difficult to see what’s in the bottom.

Unfortunately this buying experience was a disappointment, not so much because of the product as because of customer service interactions. I addressed a concern, not asking for any compensation, just asking for clarification and making a suggestion regarding website clarity. The following exchange was disappointing to say the least. I did not feel heard at all. For this reason I won’t be buying any more Maika products.

I had not intended to write a public review but now it seems I can’t get off the mailing list, so every morning there is an unpleasant reminder of the upsetting transaction. This morning I got this request for a review so I decided to tell the truth. I’m so disappointed. What disappoints me most is that bags that used to make me so happy and cheery are now tainted and no longer bring me joy. Actually considering passing them on to someone else because they are such an unpleasant reminder.

I like that this tote houses my 40 oz water bottle on an inside pocket. It looks so much nicer/ classier. It’s a beautiful looking bag.

I absolutely love my new bag, have 2 trips planned this year and it’s the perfect bag to carryon as a personal item
